RAMbunctious Recall

Banks Memory Ltd. develops products to assist in the memory care of individuals with cognitive impairments, such as dementia. For their new product, they want to develop an electronic memory game to assist with short-term memory recall. Mae Marie Banks, the CEO, wants to learn more about how memory functions in electronics to better understand the types of products that could meet this need. Students code a memory game that functions similarly to Simon Says or a sequencing memory activity while learning about the different types and functions of memory in ME.

  • Core Content: Computer Science

  • Grade Levels: High School

  • ME Connection: Arduino systems use circuits with inputs and outputs, where programmed microcontrollers control components like LEDs using functions and control structures.

  • Engineering Design Project: Coding a custom PCB to function as a memory game similar to Simon Says.
