Tyler Walton is a seasoned educator with over twenty-five years of service in the Loogootee School Corporation. Throughout his career, he has taught a broad range of grade levels and subject areas, demonstrating his versatility and dedication to student development. His experience includes teaching second, third, and fifth grades, as well as elementary and middle school art. In addition, Mr. Walton has provided instruction in fifth and sixth grade Project Lead the Way (PLTW), middle school careers, health, and physical education. Mr. Walton has also coached middle school basketball for 17 years and middle school golf for 11 years. He has been active in math bowl, spell bowl, and the fine arts academic team as well as actively teaching oil painting at his art academy, leading these classes for sixteen years.
Mr. Walton earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2001 from the University of Southern Indiana and completed a master’s degree in 2007 at Indiana Wesleyan University. His academic preparation combined with his classroom experience reflects a strong commitment to educational excellence and professional growth. In 2025, Mr. Tyler achieved PLTW certification, further enhancing his qualifications in STEM-based instruction and career-focused learning.
