With over 20 years of experience in education and technical outreach, Patty is dedicated to bridging the gap between traditional K-12 schooling and the rapidly evolving world of microelectronics and STEM Education. Currently serving as the STEM Integration Specialist for Washington Community Schools, Washington Indiana, Patty focuses on creating sustainable pathways that prepare students for the high-demand technical needs of the modern workforce.

Patty’s journey began with more than a decade as an elementary teacher, where she developed a deep understanding of how students learn and stay engaged. This foundational experience took a turn during a five-year tenure with the NSWC Crane STEM Program, Crane Indiana. Working at the intersection of defense technology and education, Patty gained firsthand insight into the critical role microelectronics and STEM play in the future of our workforce of tomorrow.

For the past three years, Patty has been involved in microelectronics education, creating hands-on opportunities for students. By cultivating a space where curiosity meets application, she ensures that the next generation is not just aware of microelectronics, but ready to lead within the field.

Beyond the classroom and the lab, Patty has a natural sense of wonder and believes that learning never stops. Whether she is camping, traveling to new destinations, or spending quality time with her family, she brings that same sense of wonder and discovery back to the classroom.
